Work It Out Gym opened a new boutique fitness studio in Hoboken, NJ. When their new neighbors started making noise complaints we recommended fully soundproofing the studio. Rather than having them shut down during the week of their grand opening, we scheduled technicians to soundproof the studio between classes. By the time we were done, you’d never know we were there.
The second phase of soundproofing was a little heavier duty. First, Green Glue Noise-proofing Compound was applied, the nontoxic & environmentally-responsible compound acts as a damping material to dissipate the vibrations caused by sound. Then, a triple layer of industrial soundproofing material was fastened to the ceilings and around the air ducts. Now, they can rock out to their hearts’ content without disturbing their neighbors or breathing in noxious fumes.
