The owners of this condo took a minimalist approach to decorating their new home and didn’t want their entertainment center to be the focus of the room; unless it was in use, of course.

The custom built fireplace has hidden compartments for the system hardware, 5.2 invisible surround sound, storage and a big screen TV recessed into the wall. A motorized lift from Future Automation moves the artwork and reveals the hidden TV with the push of a button; capable of lifting 80 lbs, the motor can easily move larger art with vintage frames or oversized mirrors.
The fully integrated system is operated by URC’s user-friendly Total Control platform. The homeowners can adjust the home’s lighting, temperature settings, motorized shades, security and entertainment system using a number of devices; including any of today’s smartphones and tablets. The unique design and extensive integration of this project caught the interest of the publishers from one of the industry’s top publications, Electronic House. The project was also highlighted by CE Pro’s Neat-O Department.
Universal Remote Control Celebrated it’s 25th Anniversary at CEDIA 2014, there they held the 1st annual URC Unsurpassed Dealer Awards. Serious Audio Video is proud to announce this project being chosen as one of the best Total Control installations of the year. The Universal Remote Patrol also featured this condo in an official case study.
