When remodeling their home, this Hoboken family wanted to make it safer, more secure and energy efficient. They also wanted an entertainment system that was user-friendly and didn’t want to sacrifice living space to upgrade their technology.
First, we installed HD cameras at the front & side doorbell as well as a number of hidden “nanny cams” throughout the house; helping them keep a vigilant eye on their home and children. The pre-war building is notorious for disrupting wi-fi signals, to battle said interference we installed a Luxul Xen router and relay points in strategic locations to get the maximum signal, no matter where you are in the house. The multi-room audio and distributed video systems make it possible to give each room it’s own soundtrack and watch whatever you want, wherever you want, whenever you want. Finally, we built a custom docking station for storing/charging the house phone, various cellphones, cameras and tablets. Built to match the decor, the docking station blends seamlessly with the interior design.
The state-of-the-art security system, front & side door locks, lighting controls, HVAC settings and entertainment system are all seamlessly integrated and remotely accessible with the homeowners’ smartphone and tablet. Powered by Elan, the Elan g! Home Automation System is user-friendly and secure; the Elan g! makes it easy to manage the home’s energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint… Taking the frustration out of conservation.
All of the necessary hardware is conveniently stored in a sleek A/V cabinet by Salamander Design.
