Giving back to the community is a core value here at Serious Audio Video. When the Hoboken Boys & Girls Club of New Jersey reached out to us for some advice and assistance with their new Teen Center concept, we jumped right in. At first the board asked for some design assistance and maybe a flat panel TV donation. SAV’s owner/president, Casey Johnston, became very involved in the project, instead of a simple TV, Serious Audio Video went all out.
SAV installed two flat panel TV’s connected to Xbox and PS3, an in wall iPod to control the Pandora music and in ceiling speakers to complete the system. The real joy and fulfillment for Serious Audio Video came when Mayor Dawn Zimmer cut the ribbon and the hundred or so kids poured into the room, eyes wide open in shock. They jumped right in and started playing their favorite music, video games and began interacting with each other. It was great to give back to the community that has supported us for so long and especially to help provide a safe and fun place for these teens to enjoy!
